Secure and Innovative IT
At BFG, we understand the importance of security and privacy and have thus taken every step to guarantee that your business and financial data are kept safe and confidential.
BFG employs a multilevel security platform that promotes data confidentiality. Depending on the complexity of the setup, your data could be stored within our private cloud servers, saved within your IT systems or located inside our hosting partner’s facility.
Enterprise Security: For on-site storage, BFG uses best-in-class technologies to create a highly trustworthy information processing platform. Our desktops and servers are situated behind enterprise-grade firewalls, protected by anti-virus software, and regularly updated with the latest security patches. Data files are stored in a tightly configured directory which supports multi-level access and authorization. Further, we utilize several high availability solutions, both on the hardware and software level, to eliminate single points of failure.
BFG has also implemented a series of operational security protocols .
- Extensive use of Active Directory Group Policies (GPs) and Organizational Units (OUs) to segregate and partition data
- Strict use of domain controls to enforce user, network and file access privileges
- Use of passwords with character, length, history and renewal restrictions for increased security Network and Server Management
- Use of enterprise-grade firewall which supports multi-level encryption, access-control lists, network filtering, VPN connectivity and address masking
- Use of daily backups and monitoring stations to secure and monitor data
- Enforcement of ‘No Local Administrator’ policy (local admin permitted only for certain applications)
- Enforcement of ‘No CD Drive’ and ‘Disabled USB’ policy (USB and CDs are enabled only for select stations)
- Automatic lock-out of desktop after 15 minutes of idle time
For off-site storage, BFG uses several access and synchronization technologies, along with high-grade encryption and SSL, to manipulate and encode data. Two such examples are Dropbox and S-FTP. Dropbox is a web application that supports multi-site file synchronization using AES-128 encryption - the same standard approved by NSA for Top Secret information. S-FTP, on the other hand, is a well-known and established technology that supports direct file transfers by moving data through a secure channel.
